Ki Allo Cafe

Incredibly satisfactory! The quick and friendly service and the overall ambience are only topped by the taste of the food. The beef burger I ordered was mouthwateringly scrumptious and sitting next to the kitchen I could witness the chef’s compassion in his food preparation. He must have noticed me observing his work, as he came over to my table and personally served me my food. We had a short but super friendly conversation and he went out of his way to get me some more table water. Absolutely lovely place, 10/10 would recommend and will definitely come again!

I had a very unpalatable experience here this morning. I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon which I wholeheartedly do not recommend. The hollandaise was sickly sweet, but also tasted rancid and it soaked through to the toast which was a soggy mess. I tend to avoid conflict, and considered leaving the meal uneaten and not saying anything. After encouragement from my friend, I went to the counter to complain and proposed a solution of having scrambled eggs on toast instead. After a short wait, I was presented with a bowl of scrambled eggs with no toast, and my previous meal was not taken away. No effort was made on the part of staff to see if I was happy with the food. Given my aforementioned conflict avoidance, I didn’t go back again to ask for toast but I had a few bites of the eggs which were admittedly well cooked, and then left to get breakfast elsewhere. This was probably a one star experience, but I’ve had takeaway coffee here before and it has been fine. All things considered, I do not recommend this café.
